Edwin Escarraga, MSc

Edwin received his BSc in Geology from the Universidad Nacional in Bogota, Colombia in 2007. In 2010, he received his MSc in Geology from Acadia University. His thesis topic involved the mapping, geochemistry and petrography of peralkaline and calc-alkaline igneous suites in the Antigonish Highlands, NS. He worked for a year with the Geological Survey of Colombia (INGEOMINAS) in regional-scale mapping programs in the Eastern Cordillera and creating/modifying a petrographic database for selected areas in the Colombian shield. Edwin also worked as a petrographer for a private consulting company as well as in northern Baffin Island for an iron mining company.
